Sandra Massengill is an oil painter and illustrator who brings her love of color and bold patterns together to create original oil paintings of animals with interesting and beautiful backgrounds. Her hope is that attention is drawn to the fact that endangered animals and the environments in which they live are diminishing at unprecedented rates.
She donates a portion from the proceeds of all of her artwork, cards, prints and mugs to conservation organizations.
Notecards from her paintings are currently sold at Zoo Atlanta and Blank Park Zoo in Des Moines, Iowa. In summer 2019, she was selected as an artist to participate in “Art Gone Wild” benefiting Zoo Atlanta.
In 2018, she illustrated a children’s book, “Carolyn’s Robot Relative” about diabetes and acceptance of others. She is a world traveler and a graduate of the University of California, San Diego.
